I can learn new websites such as dogonews,book-track classroom and more things on the web that at Mrs Cochrane gives me and I can publish things faster so I don't have to run back and forth to the slow computer sweet.

ANZAC

What Is ANZAC? ANZAC means Australia New Zealand Army Corp. Is also the remembrance of people who went to war for us and fought for us.

Why do we commemorate ANZAC? To thank them and to remember the men and women who risked their life for us and for them in the first world war and for dying for us.

How do we commemorate ANZAC? In N.Z we always celebrate it by a dawn parade which is very popular. We can also celebrate it by wearing poppies and giving money to a bucket that people do at a little stands at malls.

What is a dawn celebration? A dawn celebration is the most popular ANZAC tradition. It starts with a parade by servicemen and woman to the memorial were families and people meet each other. The short service starts with a drum roll.

My Pollution

Pollution

I wonder if people of the world can deal with  pollution? With litter drifting away such as cans, plastic and much more heading to the sea. Where do you think  this is leading to?

The water is affected by pollution due to humans dumping their rubbish out to the sea. The marine life are greatly affected due to the rubbish and chemicals thrown into the sea. They eat they breath into the polluted water and the habitat are ruined. Pollution can kill vegetation the pollutants in the air are undesirable for plants. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen which we humans need. With so many different gases in the air plants breathe them too.

We can stop Pollution by picking rubbish up that’s not even ours and putting it in the bin, if we stop we can help animals so if you're an animal lover then lets stop pollution!

My Nikau Tree

Nikau Trees

Most of the palm trees grow in the hottest and tropical countries but not the Nikau tree. It is also an very expensive tree. If you want to get the bulb you have to destroy the whole tree. The bulb is the main part of the tree.

The Maori people used Nikau trees for weaving the leaves to make bags (known as kete) and baskets.

The Nikau tree is special to N.Z because it is a native tree to us and it is special to the maori people.
